Anyone who knew the young Adelle Sinclaire would probably find it impossible to picture her ever settling down, nevermind getting married and having children. To tell the truth, she found it pretty difficult to picture it herself, but in the end she was barely out of school when she met and fell in love with Luke Dalton. They were inseperable and married young, both sure that this would last forever. They were also sure that they wanted a child, so it was a real blow when they were told that they couldn't. The news shook them, and the two started to doubt that they were really ready for such a big step. Eventually, when Adelle and Luke believed they were old and mature enough to handle a child, they started to look in to adoption. That was how they found Poppy. People say that adopted children are loved because they are chosen, and this was certainly true of Poppy. As the answer to her parent's prayers, she was treated like something amazing and always made to feel like she was the most special person in the world. However, she was never spoilt. Adelle didn't turn completely soft when she became a mother. Poppy had a very happy childhood. Her parents both had jobs in the ministry and were very busy, so she took up a vast number of hobby's to keep her busy after school. She became very talented at playing the violin, but her favourite thing was always ballet dancing. When she wasn't at a lesson she would be practising at home, always wanting to improve and make her parents and her teachers proud. She did just that, gaining awards left right and center. Even when she got her letter from Hogwarts, her first thought was disappointment that she would have to put a hold on the dancing lessons. After some thought though, she realised she was excited enough about attending the school that she was willing to sacrifice the dancing for the time being. | ||||||||

After always being treated like the sweetest girl in the world, Poppy tries her best to be just that. She's always kind and polite and does everything she can to avoid causing anyone any trouble. She's very friendly with people who are nice to her, and if someone is mean she'll just ignore them and move on. If you can't say anything nice, don't say anything at all. She only fights back if it's really needed, or if someone upsets one of her friends. That really makes her mad! The only disadvantage with her parents believing she was perfect is that she's desperate to prove them right. She tries her hardest at everything, especially her school work. When she can't pick up a spell, she'll study and study until she gets it just right. Unfortunately she often pushes herself way too hard, so she gets stressed out easily. She loves it when people say they are proud of her, so she's definitely a teacher's pet. Although she is pureblood, she doesn't follow any of the elitist morals. The muggleborn students in her year are no different from the others, so she doesn't see what the problem is. Relationships | |
